Diligent Accounts Payable Manager

At NXT GIG, we're seeking a diligent and meticulous Account Payable Specialist to join our finance team.
Account PayableThis role involves managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, verifying invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities- Verify invoices received for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Process accounts payable transactions, including data entry, approvals, and payment processing
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and vendor communications
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless accounts payable process
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
