Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer - 4-Month Temporary Contract
Are you an accomplished Accounts Payable professional seeking a short-term challenge? We've got a fantastic opportunity on behalf of our client, a prominent local council in Perth's southern suburbs. We're currently looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to lead a team for a rewarding 4-month temporary contract.
**Position Overview**:
Embark on a 4-month temporary challenge as the Senior Accounts Payable Officer. At the forefront of ensuring accurate financial data processing and meeting statutory deadlines, you'll lead the Accounts Payable team, providing stellar customer service and implementing strategies for process improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Efficiently process invoices, credit notes, and payment requests.
- Supervise and manage the performance of the Accounts Payable team.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor discount opportunities and reduce costs.
- Oversee End of Month and End of Year processes.
- Coordinate utility cost recovery from tenants.
**About You**:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable.
- Strong leadership and change management skills.
- Proficiency in financial system, TechnologyOne is desired.
- Knowledge of ATO regulations and Australian Accounting Standards.
