Opportunity Overview

We have a great opportunity for mental health professionals in Melbourne to provide holistic care and support to NDIS participants within a residential aged facility.

Mental health support workers play a vital role in improving the quality of life for vulnerable people by offering practical help and emotional support. Adopting a person-centered approach enables clients to reach their full potential and live a fulfilling life while residing in a shared accommodation facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engage and develop rapport with participants who require support
  • Assist individuals living with mental health illness with daily tasks, including grocery shopping, meal preparation and social activities
  • Deliver quality and client-focused supports in a highly responsive manner
  • Support clients enhance independent living skills
  • Adhere to policy and procedures

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Mental Health or Allied Health Fields (diploma level or above)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health and psychosocial disability
  • Experience in a similar role with housing experience (highly desirable)
  • Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and consult, engage and empower people to achieve their goals
  • Valid driver's license and full comprehensive roadworthy vehicle insurance
  • Current valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
