Duties & Responsibilities:
  • We require candidates to be available for 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends (24/7 availability).
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Candidates will perform general security duties, including patrols, external and internal lock-ups, and other responsibilities.
  • The ability to think laterally and solve issues effectively is required.
  • Candidates must have an understanding of communication lines and the chain of command.
  • They must also have knowledge of emergency and alarm response protocols, including fire systems.
  • Candidates will be responsible for protecting and maintaining the security and integrity of buildings and infrastructure.
  • They will submit electronic or paper incident and hazard reports.
  • Candidates must be well-presented and well-spoken.
  • Good IT skills are also required.
Requirements:
  • A current Tasmanian Security Licence and First Aid Certificate are mandatory.
  • Candidates must be flexible and able to work 24/7 rotating rosters.
  • A WWVP Check is also required.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
  • Candidates must have a good level of physical fitness.
  • They must be able to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Candidates should have good conflict resolution skills.
  • They must be well-presented and spoken.
  • Candidates should have great communication skills.
