Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Care Professional - Aged Care and Disability Support. You will be responsible for providing tailored person-centred services and activities to support seniors and individuals with disabilities to remain in their homes. You will work alongside customers with varying support needs to deliver high-quality care and support that meets their individual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic assistance services to customers, including cleaning, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Assist customers with daily living tasks, such as showering, dressing, and using public transport.
- Support customers to access the community and participate in social activities.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare providers and community agencies, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Certificate III Individual Support - Aged Care or Disability, or other relevant qualification and/or experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Great communication skills, which you will use to interact with a diverse range of customers, their families, carers, community agencies, and other professionals.
- Enthusiastic and engaging with customers, with a proactive approach to ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Understanding of professional boundaries and privacy and confidentiality issues.
- A current Australian Drivers Licence with no restrictions and a reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle to travel to customers' homes and assist them to access the community.
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance and registration.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one prior to commencing employment).
- Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency (or willing to apply).
The estimated annual salary for this position is $64,400, based on an hourly rate of $32.20. In addition to your salary, you will also receive attractive salary packaging options, up to $15,900 per year tax-free, and an additional $2,650 for Meals and Entertainment.
