About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Global Reinsurance Expert to join our team in Sydney or relocate to support our growing business. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will manage complex reinsurance transactions and foster strong relationships with clients and underwriters locally and globally.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their risk management needs and objectives.
  • Work with colleagues across the organization to ensure solutions meet client objectives and are aligned with market appetite.
  • Develop and present comprehensive reinsurance proposals to clients.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with reinsurance underwriters.
  • Oversee the placement process and ensure timely execution of reinsurance transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders in the reinsurance market.

What You'll Need

  • Experience in reinsurance broking, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex reinsurance transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills (including report writing, tender preparation).
  • Strong technical knowledge of reinsurance principles, products, and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills including balance sheet analysis, client research capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendations.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.

A Competitive Salary

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible working arrangements, two Global Wellbeing Days, and Smart Working options.
