We are seeking skilled professionals to join our nursing team as Registered Nurses (RNs) in the Emergency Room. Our dynamic and fast-paced environment demands individuals who can provide high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

About the Role:

  • The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for individuals of all ages.
  • A comprehensive assessment of patient needs within 24 hours of admission is crucial in this role.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for documentation of significant findings during ongoing patient assessment and development of individualized patient plans based on age-specific needs and standards of practice.
  • Effective communication of patient plans through shift reports and established procedures is vital to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Discharge planning within 24 hours of admission, with guidance as needed, is a critical aspect of this position.
  • The RN will also be responsible for implementing and documenting teaching plans in the patient record.
  • Prioritization of patient/unit needs, completing discharge screening tools, and referring patients to other care services as needed will be essential skills.
  • Evaluation of nursing interventions to address changing patient situations, demonstrating effective outcomes, will be a key performance indicator.
  • Leadership skills, recognizing acute problems, and intervening safely according to Hospital and Nursing Department procedures will be highly valued.
  • Collaboration with healthcare professionals, communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff is crucial in this dynamic environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Three years of prior related experience, preferably in an Emergency Room setting, is desirable.
  • Current, valid Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure by endorsement is required.
