Registered Staff Nurse - Emergency Room

The Registered Staff Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing quality nursing care to patients in the emergency room setting.

  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs, developing individualized plans of care that meet their unique requirements.
  • Data Collection and Documentation: Collect and document relevant data about patients within 24 hours of admission, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Care Coordination and Implementation: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Medication Administration and Education: Administer medications safely and accurately, documenting procedures according to established protocols. Provide individualized education to patients and families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Quality Improvement and Safety: Utilize standard precautions to prevent infections, adhering to hospital policies and procedures. Continuously evaluate and improve patient care processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate effective leadership skills, coordinating staff assignments and communicating clearly with internal and external customers.
  • Clinical Expertise: Possess strong clinical knowledge and skills, utilizing telephones, fax machines, and other equipment associated with nursing practice.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the role, standing/walking 90% of shifts, pushing, climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, and lifting objects up to 300 pounds.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
