We are a busy and well-established Emergency Centre looking for a dedicated nurse to join a friendly, experienced Emergency team in a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality emergency and critical care services to our community's beloved pets.ResponsibilitiesPermanent Part-time or Full-time roleProvide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in our emergency departmentAssist veterinarians with medical procedures, surgeries, and treatmentsMonitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribedPerform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasoundsMaintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is up-to-dateCommunicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's condition and treatment planCollaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomesRequirementsDiploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care settingStrong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical proceduresAbility to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their ownersWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidaysBenefitsOpportunity to attend the Greencross Conference in Sydney this OctoberOpportunities for professional development and continuing educationDiscounts on veterinary services and Petbarn retail productsSupportive and collaborative work environmentAccess to state-of-the-art veterinary equipment and facilitiesSound like your next role?
