About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Legal Counsel to join our Ad Sales team in Mexico. As a key member of our team, you will provide legal guidance and support to our business teams, enabling them to drive growth and innovation in the digital advertising market.

Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on monetization issues in Mexico and other Latin American countries, engaging with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Lead contract negotiation and management of ad sales transactions, including drafting and reviewing advertising agreements.
  • Advise on monetization products, legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to ad sales, leveraging strong analytic capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures, developing and implementing strategies to scale and standardize the use of legal resources.
  • Build trust, collaborate effectively, and drive strong relationships with regional and local cross-functional teams.
  • Provide legal training to the Latin America Ad Sales team as needed, creating templates and training materials for media.
  • Build processes, policies, and workflows to support an efficient and robust ads program.
  • Assist with general transactions, marketing, and other commercial legal matters as needed.
Requirements
  • A law degree, Juris Doctorate from a Mexican law school, or Master of Laws (LLM).
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
  • Strong knowledge of the Latin America technology industry, digital advertising market, and advertising laws and policies.
  • Strong negotiating and drafting skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen across a range of digital advertising matters.
  • Highly organized and energetic, able to navigate a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a pragmatic, business-oriented problem solver.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience counseling marketing business teams, leading the drafting and negotiation of marketing and vendor contracts.
  • Fluency in Portuguese is a plus.
  • Experience in a technology company or digital advertising industry is strongly preferred.
