
**Public Space Designer**

The role of a Landscape Architect is to create aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. As part of our team, you will be responsible for designing public domains that enhance the city's appearance.
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join our team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the city's landscape over the next 25 years.
Your key responsibilities will include developing concept designs for parklands and urban spaces, managing special projects, and preparing designs and cost estimates for recreational and open space projects.
You will also be required to ensure that all designs are completed to acceptable professional standards, participate in community consultation processes, and prepare tender documentation and review environmental factors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop detailed concept designs for key parklands and urban spaces;
- Manage special projects arising from the Liveable Centres Program;
- Prepare designs and cost estimates for recreational, open space and landscape projects;
- Ensure that all designs are completed to acceptable professional standards;
- Participate in community consultation processes and prepare tender documentation and review of environmental factors;
**Requirements:**
- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or an equivalent related design field;
- Current Class C Driver's licence;
- White Card;
- Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience in Landscape Architecture;
- High-level skills in design and documentation using AutoCAD;
- Strong written, graphic and verbal communication skills;
- Experience working within multi-discipline teams with Architects, Landscape Architects, Designers, Artists, Engineers, Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Contractors;
- Eligibility for Registration with AILA (Australian Institute of Landscape Architects).
