About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer to join our client's team at Chief Group. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage project teams, including contractors and external consultants, to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
  • End-to-end management of supplier/contractor documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with preparation of tenders and quotations, from start to finish, to secure new business opportunities.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to deliver projects successfully.
  • Promptly respond to client and stakeholder queries, providing clear and concise information to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure a safe work practice in line with company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the team.
  • Work individually and in a team environment, contributing to the success of the project and the company.
  • Contribute to client negotiations, providing expert advice and guidance to secure new business opportunities.
  • Provide progress reports, highlighting key milestones and achievements, to stakeholders and clients.
  • Research environmental considerations, ensuring projects are delivered in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.
About You

To be considered for this position, we are seeking applications from candidates who possess the following experience, skills, attributes, and qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering/civil construction, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Previous experience working on civil projects in either Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer roles, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional prioritisation and organisational skills, including working to strict deadlines, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong HSE knowledge, with a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the team.
  • High levels of attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work manage own workloads, prioritising tasks and deadlines to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Strong administrative skills, with a high level of proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Current drivers' licence, with a willingness to travel to project sites as required.
