SA Health is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team in the General Medical Ward at Flinders Medical Centre. About the RoleAs an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate patient care and supporting the nursing team in ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery. Some of your key responsibilities may include:
- Providing assistance to other members of the healthcare team in provision of care to individuals/groups, including overseeing the work of students.
- Providing education to patients/clients, families and carers.
- Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse to plan and complete nursing care tasks within your scope of practice.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Registered or eligible for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- In order to administer medicines, must have completed a Board-approved program of study which includes an administration of medicines unit.
- Previous experience in an acute setting.
- Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Service Standards.
- A high level of clinical assessment and communication skills.
