Job Title:

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Job Description:

This is a full-time role based in Adelaide, SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and developing personalised support strategies in line with legislative requirements for individuals with psychosocial and neurodevelopmental disabilities.

The role requires collaboration with participants, their families and supports to provide a proactive and trauma informed approach, addressing challenging behaviours.

Key responsibilities include facilitating training and support for families and caregivers, implementing and monitoring behaviour support plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications related to an allied health discipline or similar, including AHPRA/AASW registration if applicable
  • Minimum core practitioner status and experience in developing and implementing behaviour support plans and conducting behaviour assessments
  • Experience working with individuals with psychosocial and neurodevelopmental disabilities
  • Skills in providing training and support for families and caregivers
  • Ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and work within a multidisciplinary team
