About The Role

CPBS is seeking an experienced full-time or part-time Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team in Adelaide. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the relevant Regional Clinical Manager. You'll conduct assessments, develop behavioural support plans and programs, assist with plan implementation, and supervise other practitioners. The work is based on the principles of MEBS and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in various settings.

What You'll Do

  • Make positive and distinct changes to the lives of others by developing and maintaining relationships
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Support and train colleagues and caregivers on clinical techniques
  • Collaborate with professionals such as doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement client goals
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements regarding report writing and documentation
  • Complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support

Skills and Experiences:

What You'll Need

  • A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Hold or be able to obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and Working with Children Check
  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst, or Behaviour Therapist
  • Ability to prepare and finalize technical reports promptly, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to make a significant difference in the lives of the people and families supported
