The People and Culture Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing on global strategic initiatives during a transformational phase of the business.
This position is responsible for providing business partnering to executive leadership, managing a team of HR professionals, and owning the delivery of tactical projects.
This individual will be primarily focused on project execution with the opportunity to develop and implement strategic people initiatives based on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and implement improvements to the employee lifecycle, focusing on onboarding and talent development.
- Maintain and improve HRIS systems to ensure data accuracy, up-to-date information, successful audits, and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure alignment on headcount planning, remuneration reviews, equity programs, and compliance.
- Manage vendor and benefit renewals, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Stay up to date with current employment laws in key regions, including the UK, EU, US, and APAC.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment practices, advising leadership on best practices and areas of risk.
- Complete annual policy review processes, ensuring compliant and reflective policies are available to employees.
- Prepare information for board reporting and audits, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Develop, implement, and maintain performance management processes, driving business outcomes and growth.
- Work with executive leadership to develop and roll out company objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Mentor and coach managers on how to manage employees towards high performance, addressing performance issues and providing support.
- Educate leadership on employment frameworks, workplace risks, and global compliance.
- Act as an escalation point for employee questions, feedback, and issues, resolving them in a fair and timely manner.
- Escalate and resolve complex employee issues, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
- Manage internal communications, ensuring a consistent and effective messaging framework.
- Develop and ensure adherence to standard interview processes, ensuring a positive candidate experience and best fit for the organization.
- Cultivate a network of candidates and pipeline for open requirements, driving a proactive approach to talent acquisition.
- Complete succession planning exercises, understanding talent risks and creating plans to develop internal talent.
- Identify areas of capability gaps and develop strategies to address these, leveraging learning and development opportunities.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals, driving high performance and business outcomes.
- Provide guidance to the team on finding creative solutions that achieve strategic results, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
- 7+ years of experience in HR business partnering, with 2+ years of experience managing a global HR team.
- Strong business partnering and advising experience, working closely with senior and executive leadership in a global role.
- Expert knowledge of HR organizational policies and practices, design, trends, best practice, and future direction.
- Experience in a small to mid-sized business undergoing growth and/or transformation is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a public company is strongly preferred.
- Management, leadership, team building, consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills are essential.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, able to thrive in transformational environments where things are constantly evolving.
- Take initiative, drive continuous improvement, and think two steps ahead.
- Growth mindset, willing to learn quickly and iterate on feedback.
- Client-centric, putting the client first and ensuring all decisions benefit the client base.
