Job Opportunity: Business Development and Project Management

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Business Developer and Project Manager for the water supply sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and overseeing project implementation in this field.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. They should have a proven track record of developing and implementing business strategies, identifying market trends, and acquiring new clients. Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource allocation is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business strategies to expand the company's footprint in the water supply sector.
  • Identify and analyze market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Acquire new clients and maintain existing customer relationships.
  • Negotiate with clients and lead and manage projects in the water supply arena, from planning to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and environmental standards within the water sector.
  • Budgeting and resource management for projects.

Requirements

The following qualifications and skills are required:

  • Master's degree in hydraulic engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in or exposure to business development activities.
  • At least 10 years of technical experience and project management in the sector (of which at least 5 years in technical delivery), preferably in the water supply or infrastructure field in Australia.
  • Knowledge of water supply systems, technical standards, and local environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and Client Relationship Management skills.
  • Knowledge of local market.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams.
  • Team Player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
