Job Description

The company is a multi-disciplinary consultancy offering civil and structural engineering, surveying, water and sewer design, urban development management, and is an accredited water service coordinator for Sydney Water.

We are growing our WSC team in Sydney and are looking for a skilled Water Designer/WSC to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the manager of sewer and water to meet and exceed project objectives.
  • Complete sewer design to support a range of urban or regional developments.
  • Ensure the integrity of the overall design in collaboration with other design disciplines.
  • Review and ensure compliance in the components of the project, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies, and the interfaces with other disciplines.
  • Provide technical input and direction/leadership working on a variety of projects.
  • Coordinate design and drafting activities with drafters to provide drawing sets to company standards.
  • Ensure all work is of a technically high standard, meets client needs, and activities are commercially viable.

Requirements:

  • Regular and friendly interaction with clients.
  • Plan, execute, and finalise projects according to deadlines.
  • Manage project forecasts and invoicing.
  • Liaise with authorities and utility agencies.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Relevant Sydney Water accreditation.
  • Proficient in the use of Civil3D and 12D design software.
