Maternal and Infant Care Professional

The Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network invites applications for an Aboriginal Maternal Infant Care Worker position, based in Port Augusta. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the Aboriginal Family Birthing Program, enhancing birth experiences and outcomes for Aboriginal women and their families through culturally tailored care.
This comprehensive antenatal, birthing, and postnatal service focuses on making essential services readily available to Aboriginal women and their families. The AMIC Practitioner will deliver care across various settings, including hospitals, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, and home visits, ensuring that each family receives personalized and compassionate support.
To succeed in this role, you will require a Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice and be registered/eligible for registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia. You must also hold/is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Salary is around $78,000 p.a., depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to annual salary and entitlements (superannuation & leave loading), we offer salary sacrifice benefits and flexible working arrangements.

- Supporting mental and emotional health of families throughout journey
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice
- Registered/eligible for registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner
