General Maintenance Assistant Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Maintenance Assistant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs to equipment and facilities using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Operate a forklift and other equipment as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless coordination and execution of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a maintenance role or similar environment.
  • Ability to work 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week, with willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Manual handling skills and physical stamina to perform duties efficiently.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation to facilitate timely responses to emergency situations.

Working Conditions:

  • Day shift with limited early starts initially, transitioning to later starts after initial period.
