About the Role

As Product Strategy Manager, you will support the Merchandise Manager in developing and implementing product strategies, managing end-to-end (E2E) product ranges for apparel, accessories and footwear across the KingGee range.

Your role will involve analysing market trends, consulting on product range selection and pricing strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams for new product development, and ensuring commercial expectations are met.

  • Develop and implement product strategy for the brand.
  • Ensure product and brand alignment with customer and market needs, as well as brand strategy.
  • Analyse market trends and consumer insights to inform product development and maintain market competitiveness.
  • Consult on product range selection to meet market/customer needs and align with brand strategy.
  • Support pricing strategies to meet commercial expectations of product performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Design and Technical) for new product development.
  • Ideate and develop product briefs for new products.
  • Assess the commercial viability of new products.
  • Manage the launch of new products into the market.
  • Ensure commercial expectations are met for both product strategy and performance.

The ideal candidate will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have experience in a similar role with a commercial focus in retail or wholesale.

Key requirements include:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role with a commercial focus in retail or wholesale.
  • Experience managing a product portfolio and analysing performance.
  • Background in industrial brands and ranges, preferably in clothing or footwear.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple teams, including sales, design and marketing.
  • Experience in data management and project management.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Clear communicator, resilient and results-oriented.
