As a seasoned legal professional, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our business through drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, preparing regulatory documentation, and assisting with listing entity requirements.

This position demands exceptional attention to detail, excellent time-management, and communication skills, as well as adaptability in a dynamic environment. Experience with contract management systems or rapid ability to attain that knowledge is highly valued.

You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive business outcomes and make informed decisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects and develop your expertise in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts across various areas and regions.
  • Supporting corporate transactions and commercial matters, including document preparation and review for mergers and acquisitions, and operational contracts.
  • Identifying legal risks and developing controls, strategies, and solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Managing our contracts management system to ensure accurate contract approval and entry.
  • Providing timely and commercial generalist legal advice on various legal risk areas and business projects.
  • Assisting with regulatory investigations, disputes, and employment matters.
  • Maintaining our ASIC registers and lodging forms as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the field, preferably in-house but not essential.
  • Previous experience reviewing corporate transactions and commercial contracts.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of ASX-listed entity compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
