Flight Control Lead Role

We are seeking an experienced Flight Control Lead to oversee the development and integration of advanced flight control systems across our aerospace vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering, with expertise in flight dynamics, control systems, embedded software, and avionics integration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop, qualify and operate subsystems for flight control, guidance, navigation, communications, ground control, instrumentation and power.
  • Deliver modelling and simulation tools and outputs to quantify vehicle performance, assess vehicle design trades, perform flight safety analysis, and inform requirements generation and compliance assessments.
  • Conduct system architecture trades for current and future products.
  • Act as the technical authority for GNC, software and avionics.
  • Maintenance and upgrade of existing avionics test bed, HWIL test setup, SWIL infrastructure and other miscellaneous test assets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in an engineering leadership role.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on engineering experience in hypersonics, aircraft, or spacecraft programs.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, and MS Project (or equivalents).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with a collaborative, hands-on approach and make agile, informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
