Community Development Director

We are seeking an individual to take on a vital role in shaping the future of our communities.
This position is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring that public funds are utilized effectively to benefit local residents.
Main Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide guidance and oversight to drive the organization's objectives forward.
- Grant Assessment: Evaluate and approve grant applications to support community projects.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee the organization's annual budget and assess its performance to ensure alignment with goals.
- Community Engagement: Foster relationships with local communities through site visits, presentations, and events.
- Governance Experience: Possess contemporary governance skills, preferably as a non-executive director.
- Social Understanding: Demonstrate knowledge of complex social, economic, and wellbeing needs of local communities.
- Specialized Expertise: Bring relevant expertise in areas such as legal, accounting, financial management, quality management, media/marketing, or IT.
A collaborative approach, critical thinking, sound judgment, and commitment to community are essential for this role.
