Senior Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Leader to join our team in Tasmania. As the Executive Director, Tasmania, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our cities and industries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership, strategic thinking, and advocacy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies, leading public debates, and advocating for industry interests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business strategies to support strategic initiatives.
  • Lead public debates on issues relevant to the industry.
  • Be the chief advocate for the industry in Tasmania.
  • Develop policy positions, research, and submissions to support industry interests.
  • Develop and deliver advocacy and campaign strategies in support of objectives.
Ideal Candidate:
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Strategic and agile thinker with exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • High-performing leadership style demonstrated at senior levels in the public, private, or not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience of complex government, political, and policy development processes.
  • Significant advocacy and policy shaping credentials.
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain multiple strategic alliances and networks.
  • Track record in developing a positive team culture founded on trust, collaboration, shared accountability, and recognition.
