About the Role


The Senior Director, Policy is a key leadership position within the ACT Government's Territory Records Office. In this role, you will oversee the development and delivery of policies and strategies that support increased information governance capability and maturity across the ACTP Public Service.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance information governance and records management practices across the ACTPS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve shared goals and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in records management and information governance.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams promoting improved recordkeeping practice and awareness of the value of records within government and the community.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of information governance and records management frameworks, procedures, or guidelines.
  • Ability to develop and implement business processes and systems in a customer-orientated team environment.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills to influence outcomes, negotiate, represent the ACT Government, and communicate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in archives, records, information governance or related fields are highly desirable.
