Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team at Oaks Hotels. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily kitchen operations and contributing to the delivery of an outstanding product and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's established menu.
  • Preparing ingredients, such as chopping, cutting, marinating, mixing, and cooking to create a range of dishes.
  • Planning and modifying the menu as needed to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring the service line is fully stocked, organized, and immaculately presented at all times.
  • Managing the overall kitchen operations effectively to ensure smooth service.
  • Strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety (OH&S) standards.
  • Monitoring and ordering supplies to maintain stock levels efficiently.
  • Assisting in the selection, training, and supervision of kitchen staff, as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years previous cooking experience.
  • Professional trade qualification.
  • Food Safety Certificate.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive and energetic attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team.
  • An infectious passion for cooking and delivering a memorable dining experience.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts on a rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays).
