About the RoleThe Sydney Harbour Tunnel Operations Supervisor will support the Operations Manager in delivering training, mentoring, and roster management for Tunnel Control Room Operators. This position requires providing control over road and traffic operations of the tunnel to ensure safe and efficient flow of traffic using computer control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control the operation of the Sydney Harbour tunnel using defined procedures and electronic systems.
- Detect and respond to incidents from control room systems and camera networks within required KPI criteria.
- Observe and initiate remedial action to traffic conditions where necessary.
- Log all incidents through various stages.
- Assist and train Traffic Control Room Operators and Incident Response crew.
- Create and manage a roster for the team, filling in shifts as needed.
- Assist with scheduling, procedures, and setting up planned traffic disruptions.
- Contribute to developing and managing training for Traffic Control Operators and Incident Response personnel.
- Exceptional reporting and computer skills.
- Experience in a similar role.
- Cert IV in Traffic Control Room Operations.
- Good knowledge of traffic control.
- NSW driver's license and white card.
- Emergency response training.
- First Aid and CPR training.
