About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the operations of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, ensuring safe and efficient flow of traffic using computer control systems. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and controlling the operation of the tunnel using defined procedures and electronic systems.
- Detecting and responding to incidents from the control room systems and camera network within required KPI criteria.
- Observing and initiating remedial action to traffic conditions where required.
- Logging all incidents through various stages.
- Assisting and training traffic control room operators and incident response crew.
- Creating and managing a roster for the team, filling in shifts where needed.
- Assisting with monitoring of scheduling, procedures, and setting up all planned traffic disruptions.
- Assisting in the development and management of training required for Traffic Control Operators and Incident Response personnel.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional reporting and computer skills, experience in a similar role, and hold a Cert IV in Traffic Control Room Operations. Additionally, they should have good knowledge of traffic control, a NSW driver's license, white card, emergency response training, and First Aid and CPR training.
