Solutions Consultant Job Description
Job Summary: The Solutions Consultant is a critical role in driving business growth by collaborating with clients to identify and resolve operational pain points. They serve as subject matter experts, showcasing the Clearwater solution's capabilities to enhance client value propositions.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and experience in complex sales environments. The Role: As a trusted advisor, the Solutions Consultant will lead technical discovery sessions, evaluate customer needs, and develop solution-led demonstrations to meet client requirements. They will also collaborate with the deal team to create competitive strategies and continuously evolve their domain expertise on the Clearwater platform. What You'll Do:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for key stakeholders
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients
- Evaluate customer business and technical needs
- Develop solution-led demonstrations and conversations
- Field product requirements from prospective customers
- Collaborate with the deal team to develop a competitive strategy
- Understand the competitive landscape and key differentiators
- Continuously evolve domain expertise
- Prepare high-quality responses to RFI/Ps
- Display strong technical acumen
- Effectively handle potential client objections
- Build trusted relationships with key internal & external stakeholders
- Use quantifiable metrics to help clients improve business operations
- Contribute to standardization of Solutions Engineering documentation
- Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Help maintain internal knowledge bases
- Demonstrate expertise in front-office technology serving traditional asset managers and asset owners
- 6+ years experience in a sales engineering or implementation role focused on front-office technology
- Experience in complex, Enterprise sales in FinTech space
- Strong understanding of hedge funds, traditional asset manager and asset owner operating models
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Experience with RFI/RFP processes
- Willingness to travel onsite to meet with prospects and clients
