Social Media Hub Manager and Defence Media Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Social Media Hub and Defence Media teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing open source sentiment reports and perception analysis to inform situational reporting and decision-making;
- Evaluating information from various sources to provide strategic communication advice;
- Developing and implementing optimised social media strategies to achieve high-quality communication outcomes;
- Identifying patterns and trends in detections and communicating actionable insights to stakeholders.
The Defence Social Media Hub is responsible for whole-of-Defence social media strategy, policy, process, training, content guidance, crisis management, reputational analysis, technical support, and account consolidation. Defence Media works with journalists, the Department, and Ministerial offices to answer media questions, pitch stories, and coordinate communication support for major Defence events.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in corporate communication and/or media environments;
- Strong collaborative, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills;
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills;
- The ability to process complex information quickly and communicate clearly.

Some rostered after-hours work is required, paid under overtime arrangements. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
