About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Officer to join our team at Defence Australia. As a key member of our Digital Communications team, you will play a critical role in supporting our strategic communication objectives and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Plan, write, and schedule engaging content for our social media channels, aligned with our communication strategies.
  • Community Management: Manage social media account spreadsheets, respond to policy enquiries, and complete community management tasks.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze performance data to deliver quality campaign insights and contribute to the development of operational dashboards.
  • Support and Collaboration: Provide out-of-hours support on a rostered basis, as required, and work collaboratively with our team to achieve results.
About Our Team

The Defence Social Media Hub is responsible for developing and implementing our whole-of-Defence social media strategy, policy, and process. We are a diverse team that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence in all that we do.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with strong copywriting and coordination skills, as well as experience with social media tools, collection management systems, and digital asset management systems. The ideal candidate will be able to engage and communicate with stakeholders, identify and respond to issues, and contribute to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
