About the Role

Flexhive is seeking a highly skilled Media Advisor to join our team. As a Media Advisor, you will be responsible for daily media monitoring, media product development, and managing media inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Media Monitoring and Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily media summaries, maintaining and updating targeted lists of journalists and publications.
  • Media Distribution and Management: Manage media distribution, interview requests, and inquiries, collaborating with media monitoring suppliers to align services and update parameters.
  • Content Development: Prepare media reports, manage emerging risks, and support capability issues management, maintaining and updating the talking point bank and media monitoring keyword briefs.
  • Social Media Management: Monitor social media activity, collate reports, and identify emerging issues, drafting media content including releases, responses, talking points, speeches, and social media posts.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including contract management and record-keeping.
Key Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in communications, media, public relations, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective team collaboration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word, up-to-date knowledge of media and social media channels.
  • Citizenship: Australian citizenship and preferably a current baseline clearance or the ability to obtain one.
