Seeking Dedicated Mental Health Counsellor

At Centrecare, we are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counsellor to join our team in the Goldfields region.

As part of our Integrated Primary Mental Health Care model, you will deliver high-quality mental health and therapy services to disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to inform case plans or referrals
  • Assess supports and ensure they meet clients' needs
  • Refer and assist clients to access mainstream specialist services and support groups
  • Respond appropriately to clients in crisis
  • Facilitate groups as required

Requirements:

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development or related disciplines
  • Provisionally/registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Social Worker eligible for ASWA registration
  • Experience in short-term therapy with individuals, couples and families
  • Relevant experience working with children and families with complex needs
  • Demonstrated experience in intake and assessment
  • Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services
  • Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge
  • Strong professional boundaries
  • WA Driver's licence
  • National Police Clearance (12-month validity)
  • Working With Children Check or eligibility to apply
