The Job Description

This program focuses on delivering quality mental health and therapy services for disadvantaged or hard-to-reach individuals. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will conduct comprehensive client assessments, develop case plans, and provide referrals according to clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments

  • Assess supports and ensure they meet clients' needs
  • Referring and assisting clients to access mainstream specialist services and support groups
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognised tertiary level qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, or related disciplines
  • Provisionally/registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Registered Nurse – all registered with AHPRA
  • Social Worker – eligible for ASWA registration
  • Experience in short-term therapy with individuals, couples, and families
  • Relevant experience in working with children and families with complex needs
  • Demonstrated experience in intake and assessment
  • Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services
  • Highly developed clinical skills and knowledge
  • Strong professional boundaries
