Senior Crown Prosecutor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Crown Prosecutor to join our dynamic team. As a key member, you will play a critical role in prosecuting complex criminal cases, leading superior court trials, and making a real impact in the community.

About the Role
  • Lead high-stakes prosecutions: Represent the Crown as leading counsel in complex superior court trials, ensuring that justice is served with precision and diligence.
  • Offer expert advice: Provide authoritative insights on criminal law and evidence, guiding critical decisions that shape legal outcomes.
  • Exercise prosecutorial discretion: Independently make high-stakes decisions to initiate, modify, or discontinue serious criminal charges—an opportunity to wield real influence.
  • Champion victims' rights: Proactively address the needs of victims of crime, ensuring they are supported and heard throughout the legal process.
  • Build strong relationships: Communicate persuasively and effectively with judges, legal counsel, police, court officials, and victims on highly contentious and complex matters.
  • Develop rising talent: Inspire and mentor Crown Prosecutors, legal officers, and support staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.
  • Innovate for the future: Drive meaningful improvements across practices to enhance the impact and efficiency of prosecutorial services.
