Mental Health Nursing Career Advancement Opportunities

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to transition into a fulfilling mental health nursing career at Western Health.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment that prioritizes staff wellbeing and professional development. Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Services team is committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health issues.
To succeed in this role, you must have current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and completed a postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing. You should also possess a minimum of 12 months experience in a mental health clinical setting, along with demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers. Additionally, you should have sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022 and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
You will be required to work a 7-day rotating roster, including AM, PM, and night shifts. As part of our team, you will receive ongoing training and support to enhance your clinical skills and contribute to the success of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with the Mental Health Act 2022
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills

Salary and Benefits:
The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary ranging from $67,527.20 to $95,378.40 per annum, based on experience. In addition to a rewarding career, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including:
