Aged Care Specialist

Maryborough District Health Service is seeking an experienced and dedicated aged care professional to provide high-quality patient-centered care in our residential aged care facility.
About the Role- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care and support residents with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meals while promoting independence and dignity
- Liaise with families and loved ones to discuss care plans and health status updates ensuring open communication and transparency
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure seamless care delivery and continuous improvement
- Support therapeutic activities to enhance quality of life for residents and foster a positive care environment
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- Current national registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
- Recent experience working in aged care or disability services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment
- Empathy and patience when caring for vulnerable individuals
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances
- A supportive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and continuous learning
