Key Responsibilities:

  1. Injury Management Expertise: Provide early intervention and rehabilitation guidance to promote best practices in injury management and return-to-work support
  2. Collaborative Approach: Lead claims discussions, workplace meetings, and case conferences; work closely with medical providers, insurers, employees, and managers to develop tailored return-to-work strategies
  3. Process Optimization: Continuously review and refine early intervention and return-to-work procedures to ensure they remain relevant and effective
  4. Insights and Reporting: Highlight and report injury trends to the business, as well as detailed updates on open claims and strategies
  5. Capability Development: Assist in building People Leader capability on return-to-work options and support informed decision-making
  6. On-Site Support: Conduct regular site visits and contacts to offer hands-on assistance and guidance to injured employees and their managers

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in occupational health, workers’ compensation, and cultural change across a large and diverse workforce
  • Sound knowledge of NSW workers' compensation legislation and expertise in developing and executing strategies in Workers' Compensation
  • High-level interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, building effective and professional relationships, sharing a common vision, and influencing stakeholders
