As a key member of the School of Social Sciences, you will play a crucial role in implementing the Social Work field education program under the guidance of the Field Education academic leader and Head of Social Work. Your emphasis will be on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and strengthening relationships with field placement agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Placement of students in government and non-government agencies with a focus on fostering strong partnerships.
  • Development of quality operational outcomes in the ongoing management of the field education program in accordance with accreditation and legislative requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated cultural knowledge and ability to incorporate this knowledge into the development of quality operational outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and with Aboriginal scholars and Indigenous support services.
Working Arrangements
  • This is a part-time appointment with 2.5 days per week (0.5 FTE).
  • The University of Wollongong considers being an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as a genuine occupational qualification for this position.
  • Applicants must provide confirmation of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
