Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and culturally aware individual to fill the position of Training Coordinator.

  • Support students, employers, and training providers to access and navigate vocational education and training (VET) programs.
  • Provide advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders to increase VET participation and completion, particularly for Aboriginal learners.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements among employers, students, and training providers.
  • Coordinate daily operations of Regional Centre staff, ensuring quality service delivery and program compliance.
  • Manage administration, reporting, and implementation of local VET programs.
  • Represent the department in the community, promoting initiatives and building partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities, promote education and employment initiatives, and ensure high-quality training services.
  • Undertake occasional field work and regional travel to engage directly with stakeholders and communities.
Requirements
  • A culturally aware approach to working with Aboriginal communities and service users.
  • Strong local connections and a commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal people through education and training.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and leading administrative or service delivery settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
