Social Work Field Education Coordinator (Identified*)

Located within the School of Social Sciences, this role supports the implementation of the Social Work field education program under the guidance of the Field Education academic leader and Head of Social Work. A particular emphasis is placed on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and strengthening relationships with field placement agencies.

Location: Wollongong or Liverpool.

Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
  • Placement of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students in government and non-government agencies.
  • Development of quality operational outcomes in the ongoing management of the field education program in accordance with accreditation and legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with a team of Aboriginal scholars within the School of Social Sciences and with the UOW Woolyungah Indigenous Centre.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Demonstrated cultural knowledge and the ability to incorporate this knowledge into the development of quality operational outcomes in the ongoing management of the field education program.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and with Aboriginal scholars and Indigenous support services.
Remuneration and tenure
  • Level 6/7: $92,681 - $114,764 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
  • 1 x Permanent/Continuing, part-time appointment (2.5 days per week / 0.5 FTE)

  • This is an Identified position.
