About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team at Wilson Mining, a leading provider of specialist contracting services to the Australian coal mining sector. Reporting to the Queensland Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering critical specialist services throughout Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Work closely with small teams to deliver excellent results
  • Hands-on: Ready to get underground, mentor and lead crews when required
  • Project management: Coordinate projects, manage workforce, provide budget estimates, report to internal and external stakeholders
  • Business development: Manage and maintain relationships with clients to understand and deliver their needs
  • Technical nous: Understand injection plans, deliver training, creating work instructions; SOPs, SWIs, JSAs
  • Safety leadership: Comfortable in addressing, investigating and implementing effective controls. Facilitation of Risk Assessments
  • Procurement: Maintaining, ordering and auditing product and stock
  • Good communicator: Strike up conversation with operators, Managers, clients, corporate teams
About You

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, driven and flexible. Working as part of a small team, you will need to have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude and be willing to lead by example with your crew.   • Experience in strata support, organising and supervising crews
  • Delivery of work that meets mine site requirements and industry standards
  • Displaying excellent safety leadership
  • Demonstrated underground coal mining experience with longwall, outbye; not mandatory but preferable to have experience in polymeric applications/ injections
  • Current Standard 11
  • Current QLD Coal Board Medical
  • Cert IV Trainer/ Assessor
  • S123 & G2
  • Valid Driver's Licence
