This role offers an opportunity to take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a cutting-edge field, working alongside motivated and energetic teammates. You will be responsible for the completion of maintenance inspections/visits for both preventative and corrective maintenance on the first driverless metro train in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on trains and depot infrastructure, including inspections, troubleshooting, component changes, and overhauls—within the scope of assessed competencies.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to tasks, performing duties aligned with training, assessment, and demonstrated competence to ensure operational flexibility.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, pneumatic, and other systems, adhering to core technical disciplines.
  • Carry out refurbishment and system upgrades on rolling stock, replacing or enhancing components as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols, work instructions, and supervisor directives; contribute to safety documentation and risk assessments.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records and participate in multi-skilled teams for electro-mechanical tasks on Metro cars.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in technical functions.
  • Railway industry experience is preferred.
