Deputy Director of Nursing and Operations

NSW Government is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Nursing and Operations to join our team at Prince of Wales Hospital. As a key member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of services within the Operations Centre, driving key strategies around access, demand, patient flow, nursing staff allocation, and after-hours management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive leadership within the Operations Centre
- Directing daily operational activities
- Managing nursing staff allocation and patient flow
- Ensuring clinical services are delivered within resources
- Leading the development and delivery of annual business plans
- Improving workplace culture and performance
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with senior managers to implement organisation-wide initiatives and local projects, while contributing to the overall leadership and management within the Operations Centre and Central Equipment Store.

Requirements:
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
- Holds or is completing tertiary management qualifications relevant to the role
- Demonstrated experience and competencies in organisational patient flow, workforce, change management and achievements of measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and negotiation skills
