Work Health Consultant Opportunity
Our organization is a leading provider of workplace health and safety services, with a strong focus on injury management and return-to-work outcomes. We are seeking an experienced WHS/IM consultant to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of our WHS framework and systems.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record in managing work-related and non-work-related injuries from start to finish. They will also possess a strong understanding of workplace injury management, return to work coordination, and rehabilitation coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing both work-related and non-work-related injuries from start to finish, fostering early intervention and effective case management for smooth return-to-work outcomes.
- Managing the injury management claims process for work-related injuries
- Establishing key relationships with EML, medical practitioners and preferred providers
- Assisting in implementing WHS initiatives, policies, procedures and strategies
- Conducting routine safety inspections and risk assessments
- Providing operational WHS support and advice
- Supporting the audit review process
- Assisting in Investigation of any injuries, incidents and near misses with recommended corrective actions.
- Supporting the development of training needs analysis, recommendations and training plan, including the delivery of WHS induction
- Preparing and maintaining accurate WHS records, reports, and documentation.
Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification or a minimum of Cert 4 in WHS (desirable)
- Certification in workplace injury management, return to work coordination, or rehabilitation coordination, or willingness to undertake training
- Internal audit qualification and/or experience or willing to undertake training
- Competency in Microsoft Office
