Job Description

Classification: Senior Manager 3 (SM3).
Position overview We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Cyber Security Leader to help drive the University's cyber and information security capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this pivotal role will ensure the protection of data, systems and networks across the University.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the development and execution of the University's cybersecurity strategy.
  • Provide strategic leadership in governance, risk management, and incident response.
  • Lead multidisciplinary security teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks.
  • Build strong partnerships across the University and industry to advance security outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven expertise in developing and implementing enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies. Deep understanding of threat landscapes, risk assessment frameworks, and incident response methodologies. Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience guiding high-performing teams and driving organisational change in complex environments.
