Main Responsibilities
  • Review and refine our risk appetite statement, risk management strategy and compliance obligation registers to ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Oversight regulatory changes and conduct thorough risk analytics and control reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support regulatory enquiries responses including risk incidents across multiple business units, maintaining a proactive approach to mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports and oversee incident management to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Assess the risk framework alignment and design, develop and implement risk reporting templates, dashboards and metrics that provide actionable insights.
  • Conduct thematic reviews into control design and operating effectiveness to ensure seamless integration with overall risk management strategies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A deep understanding of the Australian financial services industry and relevant regulators, enabling effective navigation of complex regulatory environments.
  • Relevant experience and a proven track record in a risk management, internal/external audit or assurance role within a large financial services business, showcasing expertise in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team structure within the Wealth ERM team, fostering collaboration and driving results-oriented solutions.
  • Ability to support implementation, monitoring and reporting on risk management and compliance frameworks, risk and incidents across multiple businesses, ensuring consistency and quality.
