Job Description

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Financial Services Risk Management team. The role will focus on client opportunities where expertise can make a significant impact.

As part of the team, you'll build valuable relationships across the industry, gain broad experience, and develop strong capabilities through formal training and mentorship.

Our team works closely with Australia's leading financial institutions to provide strategic advice and execution support across the banking, insurance, and superannuation sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engagements: managing end-to-end components of engagements, including production of deliverables, client management, and supervision of junior team members.
  • Helping clients: working directly with clients to understand their business models, financial structures, and specific risk exposures.
  • Assessing risks: evaluation of client financial and non-financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risks.
  • Providing risk and regulatory advice: advising clients on risks related to APRA, ASIC, and AUSTRAC requirements.
  • Designing risk management frameworks: assisting clients in developing or enhancing their approaches to risk management.
  • Conducting due diligence assessments: helping clients involved in mergers, acquisitions, or other business transactions to vet risks.
  • Developing and implementing technology solutions: working with our Technology Consulting team to create innovative risk technology solutions.
  • Conducting training, workshops, and seminars: educating clients on risk management best practices and emerging trends.
  • Contributing to thought leadership: helping us develop a market-facing 'point of view' on risk management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a financial services consulting firm or major financial institution, focusing on disciplines such as risk culture, conduct, and compliance, regulatory and risk reporting, financial crime, financial risk, operational risk, and risk technology.
  • A high level of drive and initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • A degree in finance, commerce, law, STEM, or similar, with post-graduate qualifications or additional study viewed favourably.
