Reliability Leader Role

Virgin Australia is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Leader to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and direction to the Reliability Team and ensuring effective management of the engineering CAMO functions of the Reliability Program for the operated fleet types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure team compliance with Part 42 exposition (CAME), procedures (EBP2) and work instructions.
  • Lead the team by maintaining effective communication, mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
  • Initiate actions to enhance fleet performance to deliver reliability targets.
  • Model leadership behaviours and set clear performance indicators.
  • Ensure team training is accomplished in accordance with induction and company requirements.
  • Responsible for monitoring effective deployment of staff via roster management and support when required.

Requirements:

  • Hold or have held, an aircraft engineer license in category B1, B2 or equivalent with type ratings and / or credits on current Virgin Australia aircraft types or aircraft of similar complexity.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience with at least 2 years in an Airline Technical Services Management role for aircraft that are the same, or of a similar type, as the aircraft operated by the airline.
  • Extensive experience with airline Engineering and Maintenance systems (EMS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project PowerPoint and Outlook.
